We have heard from our entrepreneur community that more folks need support and in more specific ways.
GRAVITY is the next chapter of the Arthur & Toni Rembe Rock Social Innovation award, designed to get more entrepreneurs more value, more quickly.
While funding is a top priority for many founders, we also hear credibility, connections, capacity, and storytelling are also key areas where social entrepreneurs (especially those underrepresented in the later stages of entrepreneurship) need more robust resources.
That's where GRAVITY comes in.
GRAVITY leverages the power of the Teach For America and Reinvention Lab networks to connect pilot- and launch- stage entrepreneurs with a community of peers, experts, and just-in-time resources to develop, launch, and fund new ventures.
GRAVITY is a short-cycle (3 month) virtual accelerator for founders focused on learning innovation. It is positioned to support during key transitions in the entrepreneurial journey (specifically from pilot → launch, and launch → growing).
GRAVITY is currently running its first pilot season (October-December, 2021).
GRAVITY is currently in its first pilot phase, incorporating these three entrepreneurial supports:
Where founders showcase their thought leadership towards a radically different future of learning. Founders will receive support to tell dynamic, compelling stories of impact. The Reinvention Lab will disseminate these stories across their network.
Where founders gain industry wisdom in informal conversations with innovation leaders. This is a space for lessons, advice, and real-time mentorship that makes launching new ventures more accessible.
Where founders test their new products and ideas and get rapid feedback from the Reinvention Lab’s robust network of education stakeholders and investors.
The Fall 2021 pilot of GRAVITY is currently in progress.
